What is Questbook?

Questbook is a decentralized grant management platform. The platform is open-sourced, transparent, and deployed on Optimism.

Using the tool,

Why was QB created?

After working with many grant programs and ecosystems, we observed the following challenges:

  1. High TAT. Information overload, proposal mismatch and reviewer burnout led to inefficient decision-making.
  2. Centralised decision-making. Most ecosystems used centralised tools. A large number of proposals were being decided on by a small number of members.
  3. Poor onboarding to grants. Most builders were not given feedback on their proposals. This discouraged them from applying again.
  4. Fewer Proposals. Ecosystems struggled to get more than 10 proposals because of limited brand recall.

Questbook addresses the above concerns to be positioned as the go-to grant management tool. Here is how we addressed the concerns.

  1. Decreased TAT through Delegated Domain Capital Allocation. The tool enables grants to be managed in domains each run by an expert in the field. They can also assign reviewers from the community to vet proposals.
  2. Increased Transparency. Questbook is completely decentralised. Anyone can create a dashboard to track relevant metrics using the on-chain data. They can also see every proposal that comes in and what the response is.
  3. High Response Rate. Increased transparency and accountability led to ecosystems providing feedback to most builders. The community can also see every proposal that comes in and what the response is.
  4. Proposal Growth. Questbook attracts 20,000+ builders each month. Ecosystems saw significant growth in the number of proposals they received using the platform.

What makes us different?

UX and transparency.

Every action is an on-chain transaction that happens seamlessly behind the scenes through the Zero Wallet. Users can use the tool just as easily as a Web2 alternative.
